First Post

So, this is it.


Maybe some people find that their lives are so fascinating that they need to publish it and try to get as many others to see it as possible. So they look for friends on facebook, "likes", "followers", etc. That is not my intention. I'm quite a "low profile" kind of guy. 


The idea behind this is to talk about music, books, sports and God, which are the things that interest me. And probably many other things.
The name of the blog comes from a song by american band The Replacemets: "we'll inherit the Earth, but we don't want it". It's not that a particularly share the idea, but I've always thought it was an ingenious statement. 
The phrase is also in the Scripture: "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth" Matthew 5,5. I do agree to that.
It is also an experiment. I want to see how to get around in this 2.0 web thing: blogs, forums, facebook, etc.
There will be a lot of talk about music here. I do not intend, however, to post links to download albums. There are plenty of places to find them on the interwebs.
The future will tell, as I get used to the tools available.


This blog will be in english. I live sorrounded by spanish-related people, which I love very much, and that's fine. But the culture and background in which I was raised has nothing to do with Spain. I need to keep my english-speaking roots alive. This will be one instrument for that purpose. Besides, english is the new "common tongue", and I think more people can be reached with english tha with any other language.
